When I installed Netscape it installed AIM without asking me. AIM in turn immediately started hassling me every time I turned my computer on. I couldn't find it in the startup folder so I simply deleted the entire AIM directory tree. When programmes hassle me, I always terminate with extreme prejudice. It's really annoying how many programs try and take over your computer, or increase your phone bill by trying to connect to the Net without asking. I even had one program that placed an international call to America to register itself, as you can imagine I was not amused, especially as I was unable to make it to hang up and had to resort to unplugging the modem from the phone socket.

I have ICQ, but I don't like "meeting new people" <g> so that's no good when everyone I talk to on ICQ isn't online.... Newsgroups, there are people posting at night on other newsgroups, just not on here which is annoying because this is my favorite newsgroup. :) I have AIM as well, come to think of it, but I haven't worked out how to use that yet <LOL>...

I only noticed yesterday, haven't gotten round to doing anything with it yet.... ICQ was surprisingly easy to set up, usually something goes horribly wrong when I try to do anything like setting something up...
