Just wanted to let you know that I"m going to be using this nickname (bestowed upon me by someone in a chatroom I was in a little bit earlier) for a long while. I liked this so much that I decided to do this. Anyways, will go to bed now. My eyelids are like bricks laden with heavy stell coatings.
You will find it in your best interests to never, ever do that again Mike. Honestly, for your own safety, don't ever "fresh fish" in this NG again.

He complained when I hit him. All my friends do. Wusses.
i hate dolphins. they aren't remotely cute. and i bet the only reason they aren't covered in shit like pigs are, is because they live in the sea and the water washes it off.
hahahaha, "characters"? i found them completely unbelievable. you have all these *good* poor people and these *bad* rich people, but there are two or three *good* rich people, and one of the *good* poor people runs off with one of the *good* rich people, but then there's this horrible tragedy and the *good* poor bloke dies. they might as well have given them black and white hats, to make it even easier for the idiotic hordes of Leonardo di caprio fans to distinguish between the *good* people and the *bad* people.

Is it OK if I refer to you as "L.I." in future posts? I don't do well with long nicknames (more than 2 syllables) in the wee hours of the morning. (Heck, I can barely get my own nom de plume out.)

Hee hee! That's funny cause last night I nearly sent off a post with my name as cherly, which could be a name I think.
Which is the reason I post on this n.g as Cricket rather than Cheryl (the name on my birth certificate .. and my h.s.diploma ... and my business degrees, and my law degree, and all very important and vital pieces of paper which I have accumulated over the last 33 years, 3 weeks & 5 days of my existence on this orb). I have gone to great lengths to ensure that my name is spelled C-H-E-R-Y-L, only to have it spelled and pronounced in various and sundry ways. My ex-fiance rarely spelled my name correctly (he usually reversed the L and the Y -- why does everyone tend to misspell it that way?). Even I, in my recent sleep-deprived state have been spelling my moniker wrong. Add to it the fact that my last name is also frequently misspelled, mispronounced and savagely mangled, and I have to wonder what on earth were my parents thinking when they chose my name. I know they say, "A rose by any other name ... yadda yadda yadda..." but then most folks can SPELL "rose," can't they?
Heh... well my name is always mispelled, proving people can't copy names from one paper to another correctly (grr...) they always spell my name Dagney which is just apalling and I have no clue why they do that as I have never heard of a person named Dagney. But then there's Betsey whose name is spelled with an extra e that they forget. And put in my name.
Luckily most people can spell Scott.

People feel the need to make my name much more complicated than it is. Why is it so difficult to believe that Mindy is my full name? Is there some secret Melinda underground I'm not aware of?!
heheh... Slyvester. I guess people get that because as a first name "Sylvester" can be shortened to "Sly". Stephen's brother (one of the twins, with Chris) is now called Sly.

Sure thing, although you have to agree with me that "Lady Inteference" is *much* better than "Hallucinating Elvis Lady". Especially since my favorite new DD song is starting to not be "HE" anymore but rather "Lava Lamp". And there's *already* a "Lava Lamp Lady" on the internet so....
Tee hee hee, and I thought I was lame for making so many spelling mistakes....
This is getting hard to keep up with. NO ONE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO CHANGE THEIR NICKNAME. Thus proclaimed Kyle, uh, I mean YourAdHere, uh I mean Howling Lunatic.
Our Icon, Alli, has managed to stay the same for this long.

Heh heh, what happened to your little protestation? Didn't last long, now, did it? ;)
The only "icons" I have in my life are Duran Duran, David Bowie, Japan, and at odd occasions some of the characters from a certain animated MTV show whose protagonist is a glasses-wearing realist who can spout off irony with the best of them.
Hee hee, I have no idea, but you just made a mistake that someone else on the same chat did when I was welcoming them in. So it's not like you're weird or anything. :)
I still prefer deena lissa. Childhood nicknames are truer to the real you, the inner you. If you ever do one of those numerological things on your name you should use your childhood nickname not your given name. When your parents named you they had no idea who you were, whereas when someone coins a nickname for you it's on the basis of having known you as a person.
But when I was "deena lissa" I was trying to pretend to be someone I wasn't, in a futile effort to create an alter ego for myself. With these last few name changes...first my real name, then "Hallucinating Elvis Lady", now this name...I'm still me. I'd rather stick with something that doesn't betray my reality rather than go back to something which had its roots in my attempt to become something wholly different from myself. (even if it was for the reason that I wanted to participate in a forum with a topic I had very extensive knowledge in except without the baggage of being "me")
I didn't know it was supposed to be hard to give me a headache. I just like using Daria quotes from time to time, after all this is atd. Well ok, so it's a Quinn quote, sue me.
