I see that MTV is starting a new animated show call "Undergrads" this weekend. MTV's webpage for the show includes "Daria" as a related link, although the new show doesn't appear to be a spinoff of Daria in any way.
Apparently animation is not dead at MTV, which may be good news for those of us who'd like to see regular reruns of Daria. Or even a reunion episode some day.

It'll probably last 6 episodes if it's as lame as the commercials make it out to be.
Lookes even lamer then Downtown, if that's possible.

I thought that _Downtown_ was an excellent show, which was being very deliberately subversive of "cool" and "hip" street culture. I'm sorry that it didn't last long enough to fulfill its promise.

Not at all surprising. It was so neglected that when they reran one episode at 4 in the morning sometimes either this year or last the voice-over informing veiwers of the shows move from Monday or to Monday hadn't been removed.
