OT- Eddie Izzard

I'm a huge fan of this comedian. He's amazing. Anyway, here's where the sob story kicks in. I had a copy of his standup special, right? 2 hours long, from HBO. Of course, my little idiot of a brother decided that he HAD to tape his wrestling, and he HAD to tape it over the tape that contained my Eddie Izzard standup special. Needless to say, I'm pissed. If anyone has a copy of this that they would like to sell me (I don't really have much for trading), I would be much obliged. Arrgh!

I hate when that happens. I know a guy who almost died when his brother (intentionally, I figure) "accidentally" taped over part of his copy of Ace Ventura with a Ford commercial.

Completely unrelated, but Eddie Izzard was on "Whose Line is it Anyway?" on Comedy Central this afternoon.

The moral of the story, use the write protect tag at the back of the tape, then if anyone does tape over it, they have to take deliberate action to do so, so it cannot be accidental unless your video recorder is knackered :)

Have you tried posting your plaint to alt.fan.eddie-izzard? Also you might want to try looking at fansites to see if they have anything like a classifieds section. I don't have the special on video (although I do have Eddie on "Whose Line is it Anyway?"), just watched it on TV, but I do hope you're able to recover a copy. And then break off the write-protect seal thingie.
