The Daria IF game develops!

Hey everyone! I just wanted you to know that I've done quite a bit with the Daria IF (Interactive Fiction) game I'm developing. There's still no central story to connect things, but there are a few puzzles with working solutions and a few conversations. Also: [advertising follows]

-- SEE Daria's all-new adventure in glorious two- color (foreground and background) text!!!

-- TYPE in Daria's actions! "We don't need no steenkin' mouse!!!"

-- READ the violent poetry in Daria's closet for the very first time!!!

-- EAT breakfast at the kitchen table with Helen, Jake and Quinn!!!

-- WALK the streets and sidewalks of Lawndale!!!

-- TAKE a bath in Daria's shower!!!

-- BRUSH your teeth and stare at yourself in the bathroom mirror!!!

-- And lots more!!!

-- And even lots more TO COME!!!

Heh heh. So far I have the prologue and the first chapter finished, but the game starts thinning out and disappearing a few scenes into chapter 2. If you're interested in this stuff, wish me luck! I'm going to college in a week and that might slow down my coding and writing.

How are you writing it?

Like the old IF programmes that use Z interpreters?

Or are you writting it in an actual language like C or Basic?

Could you be persuaded to make a Apple Newton version?

I'm using the Inform language, and the game can be run on any Z interpreter available. I'm currently testing it on WinFrotz, but the file is very portable to other systems. I'm not sure if there's an interpreter available for Apple Newton, but I can check it out. Thanks for your interest!
