Hey Daria is a lesbian, but that's ok because at least the show has that hot Asian chick. She doesn't have any breasts, but Asian chicks don't, so it is realistic in that regard.

I am not saying that you guys masterbate to her, that's NOT why I am posting this. Even though it is probably true that you do that, and also the majority of lesbos in here, since only left-wing fruitcake socialist dykes watch MTV anyways.

Does anyone have naked pics of this bitch? =============== Grachman, The "Fancypants Grachman"

All of the mysteries of human sexuality haven't been solved, but I think it's possible that a bi-tendency could evolve over time. It could be that your art has made you more open-minded and curious, or maybe it's just made you more relaxed and comfortable with the nude male form.

It's possible that you may fall deeply in love with a girl. It might also be possible that you fall deeply in love with a guy, and you may decide it won't matter that he's a guy. You could be so deep in love that you feel a physical attraction to him even if you never feel that way about any other man. Who knows? I think it's most important that you're happy in life, and it shouldn't matter who you love, as long as you love someone.

It was clear to me, but not to Glenn. But I think he's obsessed with his butt. :-)

Absolutely! Yay for love!

I consider myself heterosexual, but I had a crush on a guy in junior high. That was SO weird. Especially when he got a girlfriend. Actually it wasn't a case of being attracted to him, like you say I just had such intense feelings for him that I started to feel physical about it. I really can't say how far I would've gone since he was just not interested, but we WERE good friends and that almost made it worse! I mean, he used to sleep over my house, and I would lie awake thinking, "Oh my God!" I never felt like it was "wrong" for me to be in love with him, but I did feel lonely and sad cause I didn't know anybody else who had that experience and I knew the whole thing was hopeless.

But eventually I got over it. Of course, I do have a gay friend who I think is really adorable and sweet and ridiculously intelligent, but he's already taken. :) If I could just find a girl like him, now THAT would be a dream come true!

"Bonk" is certainly a synonym for "shag" here in the UK. Green [1] states that the sexual usage dates from the 1970s, wheras the usage to hit, especially on the head, dates from the 1930s.

My name is Nicole Lee, but since "Lee" is such a common name among non-Asians, some people assume that I am not Asian, when I certainly am.

My reasoning for this is simply: Why would they portray her as an Asian (different colored skin, slanted eyes, etc), if she WASN'T Asian. Just to make us crazy? It's like saying Jodie isn't black because she doesn't have an African name. (The reasons for this is rooted in slavery of course, but I don't know too much about it to really make a comment).

As for judging whether she's attractive or not, that's kinda unfair doncha think? To say that Tiffany is ugly, whereas Daria isn't? To some people, Daria may be as attractive as dog doo, whereas to others, she may be gorgeous. Isn't saying that one is less attractive than the other as bad as being in the Fashion Club - which serves to ostracize those who aren't beautiful? The fact is, there really isn't anything wrong with their looks at all. They're all beautiful in their own right, and that should be enough. The key point in Daria, I feel, is that you should look beyond the cover to see what's inside. If you truly dislike Tiffany or Sandi based on the ugliness of their *personality* then I believe that's more valid.

When freed slaves took last names, they were originally either those of their masters, or ones they picked on their own based on the last names common in the South at the time. As a result, they were mostly English or (in Louisiana) French.

Jodie's light-skinned enough that she probably has some white ancestry. This came from various sources, one of them being rapes or seductions of slaves by their masters; another being intermarriage in the post-slavery era (especially in the North). I've heard estimates that American blacks are about 25 - 37% of white origin.

I find Tiffany physically attractive, but emotionally very ugly. I would marry Daria over Tiffany in a heartbeat; as a matter of fact I wouldn't marry Tiffany at all if there were any other alternative. Tiffany is not someone you could trust to watch your back.

Tiffany is "hot." Daria is not. That, in fact, is part of the idea of Daria.

OTOH, Tiffany is most definately not attractive.

I get you, I get you. Prolly a second marriage. I can picture her mother as the total adult personification of Tiffany (i.e. a gold-digger who seeks out very little in terms of substance).

I should've remembered that. There are a whole slew of Mexicans with the last name of "Powell" who live in the southern interior regions (some maybe even in Chiapas). And they're darn proud of being Mexicans and pronounce their last name "Poh-wel" instead of "Pow-wel".

I know of quite a few Asians with the last name "Lee" (including the ubiquitous Bruce Lee). I have no problems believing you're Asian simply by your name.

I don't know. Maybe they do try to make people crazy by that, I have no idea. I'm not the creators/writers of the show. But I do see how Tiffany could be Asian.

The slaves who were imported into America often had to take on their slavemasters' last names, so Jodie Landon's patriarchal family would've probably worked for a Landon household back around the 1600s or 1700s. But then again I'm used to African-Americans having all manner of names (including Hispanic names...quite a few Hispanics are of African descent, the most famous of which is Sammy Sosa).

Not when it comes to the likes of Tiffany.

Daria has a much purer soul and is more beautiful and radiant inside than Tiffany could ever hope to become.

Stacy probably has that same amount of inner beauty. All she needs to do is gain a little inner strength.

Yeah, but that's on the outside. I'm about looking at the outside *and* inside.

I know several beauty pageant contestants in my family, and all but one of them (who gave up the scene a few years ago) are butt-ugly because of what they've got going inside. The one who quit (to become a Bible school teacher) looks far more radiant today than she ever did as a beauty pageant contestant.

The Fashion Club looks at outer beauty, which always fades. I'm talking about outer *and* inner beauty. There are so many people whom the Fashion Club would deem horrific who I think are absolutely breathtaking, and vice versa.

That's right, they do all look superficially pretty. But Sandi and Tiffany have nothing going on inside.

That's what I'm talking about. Someone could be superficially pretty but if their spirit is black everything is ruined.

I'm sorry for any mix-up.

It's probable. Heck, anything is probable. For all we know, "Blum-Deckler" could be one of those fake names. Can anyone say witness protection program? *grin*

Hmm. How about judging looks aside from personalities? And vice versa? There is a difference between physical appearance and a person's character after all.

What if someone has inner beauty WITHOUT outer beauty?

But I was judging them based solely on their looks though, so I didn't consider what's going on inside. (That sounds a little weird doesn't it? What's going on inside - digestion of no-fat no-salt popcorn?)

Ruined for you, yes. Not ruined for quite a few people though. Let's face it - those girls won't have any trouble getting boyfriends. Not really good boyfriends, but still. If Sandi is anything like her mother, she could thrive with those assets too. Not a very nice world, but that's the way it works.

But I agree. That's why I tend to not get attracted to a lot of guys.. because looks just aren't that important to me. A guy with a good sense of humor and some amount of intelligence outranks a guy with just good looks any time. If the guy happens to be good-looking too.. that's just a bonus :)

Yep. They will have no problem finding guys who just want someone popular and good-looking. Sandi is funny. She's the kind of girl that, when I was in high school, I would torment to no end, since she'd be so damned *reactive*! Personally, I think that if it came down to a physical confrontation between Sandi and Quinn, Sandi would win. She just looks a little bigger than Quinn, and I don't think Quinn has it in her.

For the record, I think Tiffany is the most physically attractive girl in the show. Tied for second are Sandi, Brittney, and Jane. :p

What's wrong with Tiffany? Besides the facts that:

  • She wouldn't date you unless you had money and a really hot, new car.

2) Even if she did, she would take 3-4 hours finding the one paticular outfit that didn't make her look fat.

  • And another 2 hours getting hair and make up ready.

4) You could have a fascinating literature discussion, I hear she just finished "Go, Spot, Go", in only a week! Just for you!

5) She'd be real easy to pay for at a restaurant, how much could one carrot stick and a diet soda possibly cost?

  • You'd never get anything from her because that could smudge her make up.
  • And wrinkle her clothes.

And a few other reasons that would take too long to list. Other that that, I'd go out with her too! :-)
