The Daria Aptitude Test

With all this talk about aptitude tests and the faded memory of once being part of creating a sick and twisted one, this idea refuses to leave my fevered brain. I'm going to create a test to determine which Daria character someone relates to the most. The test will be pretty simple, 50 or so questions, going something like this...

• Would you rather a. sue the pants off someone (Helen) b. wonder where your pants are (Jake) c. never leave the house (Trent)

• When I grow up I aspire to be a. a mall rat b. a member of a Doors cover band c. an artist

• I like to play a. football b. a harmonica c. dumb

Now I need to ask for a couple of favors.

If you have an idea for a test question please e-mail it to me. Please keep it simple, use only major characters (ones we've seen more than once), and include the character at the end of each choice like number one above. I will not reveal who submitted what question to save you all any embarrassment.

Here's the biggie. If someone maintaining a Daria site wants to make this test part of it, I would be more than willing to give them the test along with a scoring key so people could find out which Daria character they most closely resemble. I know this is asking alot and if I get no takers I'll run it by e-mail.

Someone mentioned online scoring.... that would be cool, except I don't know the first thing about cgi scripting. If anyone would be willing to create a script and help me get it working (or knows where I can get one that can be tweaked fairly easily) let me know.
