There is a question that bothers me... Let's say Sandi's parents decide to go to another town and since Sandi moves away she let Quinn be the new president of the fashion club. Would this "power" over the fashion club change Quinn into a bitch like Sandi? Both were shown as egoistic persons, but i have the feeling that Quinn is somehow a "better" person. (I maybe think so, because we saw the Morgendorfers more in detail than the Griffins and Quinn changes over the seasons but Sandi is still the same...) What do you think about it?!
I think that Quinn is a more decent human being than Sandi. You can see it in Fashion Club situations where she, rather than Sandi has the upper hand. She's also a lot smarter than Quinn is, too. I think she would be a more benign figure as leader of the Fashion Club than Sandi has been.

In my opinion, Sandi was not shown as being the same throughout the series. In her first appearances she wasn't bitchy to the other FC'ers: in her first line in the series she complimented Quinn on having a "cool name." While she was no doubt insincere in "Malled" when she said they should impeach her and make Quinn president, she wasn't being spiteful, and she enthusiastically supported Quinn's idea for a makeover project. Towards the end of "This Year's Model," when the winner of the competition is about to be announced, there's a nice shot of Sandi, Stacy, and Quinn holding each other's hands and smiling.
Sandi's attitude started to change in "Too Cute," when she realized that Jeffy, Joey and Jamie liked Quinn more than the other members of the Fashion Club (Sandi: "Quinn wasn't in that story. It was me, Tiffany, and Stacy." Joey: "Well, then take Stacy out and put Quinn in."). However, she was still capable of being supportive in "Road Worrier." It wasn't until "The Daria Hunter" that Quinn and Sandi became real enemies.
The dynamics of the Club completely shifted in the final season, starting with "Fat Like Me," where Quinn helped Sandi through her weight crisis, and Tiffany and Stacy sided with Quinn against Sandi. Interestingly, in the next episode ("The Story of D") Sandi was more supportive of the others; she went along with Quinn's idea to get a new mirror for the Girls' Room and start a newsletter, and she didn't blame Quinn when the project failed.
Under the mistaken impression that Quinn was receiving special treatment from substitute-teacher Daria, she played her last ace (Quinn's unwillingness to acknowledge that Daria was her sister) and lost in "Lucky Strike." After that episode, she started to focus on Stacy instead of Quinn, and Stacy proved to be even more impossible to control. The scene at the end of "Is it College Yet?" was Sandi's last-ditch effort to maintain her status as leader, and it failed -- yet instead of being crushed, Sandi decided that hanging out with her friends was more important than the Fashion Club. As I said in a previous post, there's at least a smidgen of hope for her.
Now I just have to convince my college to offer a degree in Daria Studies. I could ace that *so fast*...
I think what happened is she noticed that *everyone* liked Quinn better than her, including Stacy and Tiffany. Thanks to her mom, Sandi thinks she has to be in control all the time. And like her mom, she seems to react to losing control by becoming more controlling and spiteful.

I don't think that's supported by the events on the show. "Too Cute" is the first episode in which Sandi treats Quinn badly, but there's no indication that Stacy and Tiffany are already siding with Quinn at that point -- Stacy, Tiffany, and Sandi all get nose jobs without telling Quinn, not something that would be likely to happen if Stacy and Tiffany liked Quinn better. Tiffany started playing both sides in "The Daria Hunter," but she never showed any real preference for Quinn over Sandi until "Fat Like Me." (Stacy revealed that she liked Quinn better in "Gifted.")
Maybe, but I don't think Linda Griffin was ever shown losing control. I think she's *always* like that.
Unlikely. Sandi's primary motivation was always control. To her, the other members of the FC were either threats (Quinn) or pawns (Stacy and Tiffany). Quinn's primary motivation, on the other hand, was always to be liked by the greatest number of people. She does what she does to seek approval from the others. This means doing what pleases the most number of people. (As an example, she tells people she's an only child because, in her mind, making one person - Daria - displeased with her is a suitable trade off for making dozens of other people be pleased that Quinn is not related to "that weird girl who insults anyone who looks at her."). In the FC, Quinn would always seek Sandi's approval above anyone elses, because she knew that the other two would go along with Sandi.
If Sandi moved away, Quinn would most likely simply carry on as she always had, making sure that Stacy and Tiffany and all the other popular people continued to like her.
