Hmmm...needs salt. It wasn't really funny, the dramatic conflict wasn't developed too cleanly, the pacing was bad, and there was a gratuitous use of a recurring character. Did this start life out as a bad fanfic somewhere? After this, I'm really glad they started the season off with "Daria!" because it gave us a break from Daria's inner tensions. Several eps in the second cluster of 2nd season (Pierce Me, See Jane Run, WRIH) showed Daria in conflict with herself and Learning a Lesson from it. OK, that's cool. I liked all those episodes, as well as those same kinda episodes before that period. But I think I just got my fill of the phenomena. Can we have Daria inciting anti-Russian riots again? Just for a week? That's the bad part. Things I *did* like: -Quinn's reaction to Daria's request for advice. -Aunt Amy (even if it WAS gratuitous-I guess that makes me something of a tool) -the general theme (it's always interesting to where Daria's neuroses and principles overlap. I had similar problems in high school, and they came to similar endings. But I would never have not worn any eyewear to school, and I can't see Daria doing so either) -the end scene in the bathroom (it was the first good dialogue in the whole ep, except for Quinn's lecturing. I'm glad they threw Jodie in there.)
