Apologies: Apologies to Adam Spradlin for the extreme harshness of the message I left. I had been too hasty to try out my new attitude and ended up steamrolling over someone who didn't deserve it. I have found others who did deserve that, though.

I am still watching... OH, that is. Saw the first ep of the new season, and will see all the other new ones. I don't think I'll be going into Rerunville, though, as I can only afford the once-a-week option now. And my opinion on #501... ?

I would say this was an okay ep at best. It was rather hard to swallow some of the bits that... well... were hard to swallow, like the smarmy soda guy, Quinn's sudden regression back into fashion mindlessness, and Jane's new ornamental nature. But I did like how Tom convinced Daria to stop just talking and actually take action.

And that's about all I have time for right now. Tune in tomorrow for... ah, never mind...

He was perhaps a tad comically over-exaggerated, to say the least. But then again, so was Val ...

That didn't bother me, because her scene was so short that I don't think it really proves much of anything about her personality development.

Jane was really badly utilized that ep -- it was as if she had suddenly turned into some sort of Eliza program, who could only react in simple and predictable ways to things Daria said. It's obvious that she was even _in_ most of those scenes only to tell people "See, they're still friends" ... she had no real relevance to the plot.

Yeah, character-wise I think that's the only good thing they did with anyone but Daria this ep.

Well, on the humor front, watching the cheerleaders trying to cavort wearing gigantic soda cans made _me_ laugh :)
