I just realized, about a week after it was posted (yeah, I'm slow), that MTV is shoving celebrities down our throats and, apparently, in our movies, too. What were those names of the cameos in the movie? Bif Naked, ____(someone)____, and Carson Daly.

"Daria's Relationship"?

Ooh, I can see it now... Daria's at camp, and so is a sexy young lifeguard (Carson) who thinks that she's hot and makes it his Personal Mission to score with her before camp ends. He also "conviently" forgets to pack shirts and so walks around in swim trunks, getting a tan on the shores of Lawndale. After Daria "accidentally" almost drowns and Carson saves her, it's revealed how great she looks in a thong bikini and thustly the rest of the movie is one large makeout fest.

What I'm saying is, I hope that MTV (a network largely based on sex appeal) doesn't spoil this movie by forcing in too many celebrities and contrived plots to get in some sex scenes just 'cause they think that'll = $high ratings$. I don't know. Either that, or watching my other beloved shows crash and burn in their later years is making me paranoid that Daria is going to go downhill, too.

I agree with your hopes. Actually, I wouldn't mind a (tastefully done) love scene involving Daria, but having her hop into bed with some random character just to have nudity or sexual teasing would violate the integrity of the character; I hate when sitcoms do that.

I don't think the writers are going to do that, though.

Daria brutally murders Carson Daily, sends me his head on a platter and she feeds his carcus to the little brats at the camp.

See, I'd pay to see _that_. We'll leave that movie to Hollywood.
