The Fashion Club girls aren't really popular, are they? I've only been watching the show for a year, but I don't recall seeing any other girls applying for membership, which is what you'd expect to happen if they were *really* popular. Not that Sandi would let any new members in. It isn't really a club, of course, but a clique, completely ruled by Sandi.
The point is, if they were really popular, somebody might try.

Quinn and Sandi DO seem to be popular among some guys, but most of the guys are loser. Not just the 3 J's, but also the guys that drive them to malls for the privaledge of sitting at the next table.
Stacy and Tiffany don't even have that level of popularity. They never seem to have dates (except as fill-ins, recall in TWTTID Quinn says ``I got Stacy to fill in'') and nobody else ever talks to them.

Stacy seems the type who will enter a possibly dangerous relationship with someone who could really hurt her, just for the chance to be "accepted". She would hook up with someone who could be abusive and wrong for her just for acceptance from Sandi and others, which is why I hope she can grow a backbone before she goes off into the real world.

Actually, she already has. Read what you just wrote, and consider Stacy's relationship with Sandi. Sandi is as sadistic as any wife- beater, she just uses different weapons. She could easily drive Stacy to suicide, or to other self-destructive behavior like anorexia or drug abuse, and not feel a shred of remorse. I just hope that when Quinn finally breaks away from the fashion club she attempts to take Stacy with her.

If there's anyone who actually needs that self-esteem course Lawndale offers it would be Stacy. First off her parents can't be too helpful if they give her a look like that when she said something stupid, secondly as a follower she is, at this rate she will follow the rest of the FC to their minimum wage jobs if she keeps this up, I would hope she would start following Quinn again, at least with Quinn, Stacy stands a chance to survive in the real world.
