I've been catching up a lot on Daria, on The N. I love this show so much.
It angers me that episodes aren't being shown, and that parts of shown episodes are censored. Honestly, what's so bad about it? Degrassi has "teen issues", and to my knowledge that's not being edited, so why is Daria?

But in another one, the one where Mack is the QB of the football team and isn't doing very well, they showed a boy (one of Sandy's brothers, interestingly enough) yelling "You suck" at the team.
Let me see if I understand this: "Damn" is offensive but "you suck!" is not?
Like I said, I've never been able to figure out what the Noggin censors were thinking.

There have been any number of satires on the fact that TV, radio and even comics have been stripped of the word "Damn" ("Hell" is another one. Ever heard somebody on TV saying "Darn you all to heck"?) ISTR the word is frowned on by certain god-botherers with capacious cheque-books, persistant complaining pressure groups and as much tolerance as any average fanatic.
The thing is who can you blame - the bible-bashers or the spineless TV execs that back down before them?
Terms such as "you suck" are meaningless by comparison, unless you really want to push the point and state exactly what "you" are supposed to "suck". The argument put forward in the South Park movie is certainly valid, even if nobody (well, nobody in power at the media companies) has taken the message in.

The "sucker" line is edited out making for a very strange moment where they are just staring at each other. But elsewhere (other shows including Daria) they can say "suck."
It almost appears to be random. I understand that often a show in syndication is shortened up to make room for more ads, but that doesn't appear to be the case with Daria.

Daria doesn't need to be shortened for ads. The only damn ads they play are those ones about some girl with purple hair who bashes other people's bands, and that series of ads about some damn kids in NYC who don't go on dates or something. I am so sick of them. I wish they'd just play a few regular commercials instead of those.
PS: I am watching for the first time on The-N (I'm 14). I also noticed that it goes right from "Prize Fighters" to "Esteemers". I really want to see "My Night At Daria's" and "Boxing Daria", but I can't find any good downloads on LimeWire. I only have dial-up anyway :(

The episode "Boxing Daria" can be seen on the DVD "Is It College Yet?".
Unfortunately you will have to look elsewhere for "My Night At Daria's" unless Viacom finally releases the rest of the series (UNCENSORED!) on DVD too.

Try Kazaa. They have a lot of episodes.

I have a Mac. But, I have Virtual PC with Windows 98 SE, so yesterday I downloaded KaZaA "Lite" and right now I am downloading the Daria Pilot. I've spent about 10 hours of time and I only have about 4 minutes of video downloaded so far. I won't even think about any of the larger files like Boxing Daria because the smallest of that I have seen is 200MB!
Does anyone have any info about "DigitalDaria.org"? I thought about "ordering" some episodes from there, just the ones I can't otherwise get from The-N, the IIFY/IICY DVDs which I plan to order soon, or that old tape that was released.
