A game of Operation Anyone?

I'm not sure if this will spoil anyone's enjoyment of "Jake of Hearts", but here's a little space just to be sure.

I just loved that Quinn was practicing surgery by using the game Operation. What a kick! It brought back many a fond memory of that red nose lighting up and making that annoying buzz. On another note, do you think MTV had to pay any residuals to Parker Bros (it was their game, right?) for using Operation. Has any other recognizable product been animated in "Daria"?

On a more serious note, I liked that this episode showed how much Quinn and Helen (and Daria) *really* love Jake. After his heart attack both went against character to support him. Helen as Suzy Homemaker and Quinn reading medical journals to learn how to save her dad. Well done.

Did anyone else feel like Helen and Jake's roles were reversed? In 'ILL', Jake had his handy teen drug abuse pamphlet that he kept referring to- "(looking through pamphlet) Rashes, rashes... " and now Helen has her 'Life after a heart attack' book (she flips through the book after a comment from Jake's mother (Ruth?) saying that he should use a bell instead of screaming if he needs something.
