The loft is from the scene in "Boxing Daria", where Daria's looking through the huge front glass window, and notices the garbage truck, which is coming for the refrigerator box. Yes, Quinn's room is bigger than Helen and Jake's, but I kind of figured that since it's over the garage, that it used to be an extra storage room for the former owners, plus this is Quinn we're talking about, here! ;D
By the way, I do believe also that the Morgendorffers have an attic. (From "IICY?", Jake mentioned it) The ceiling door in the upstairs hallway can be pulled down. It has stairs up to the attic.
