Somebody posted a very good cartoon here once (actually, just a link) that showed what Quinn would look like as a guy. So, let's call him Quentin, and ask how that would change the dynamics of the show.

Quentin would have Quinn's charm. He'd be the most popular boy at the school, the envy of the other guys, who would surely resent him.

The remaining Fashion Club girls would be like the 3 J's, falling over each other to get Quentin to notice them so he'd ask them out. The 3 J's would be Quentin's buds. He'd give them advice on how to impress girls.

You can imagine the hilarious scenarios that could come out of this. Tiffany are Joey (for instance) are double-dating with Quentin and Stacey. It turns into a disaster because Tiffany is constantly flirting with Quentin throughout the date.

Okay, the rest of you can take it from there. This will give us something besides the cancellation to talk about.

Ooooooooooo. You just had to say it, didn't you! Well I guess when we find out what she'd look like, we'll all have to jump for joy now won't we?

:0)

Besides we all know that Quinn looks good in anything!

Thank you! I wasn't sure anyone in this NG's audience would catch the reference. It's good to know there are other mature people here, and/or young people who appreciate music from an era when there really WAS music (geeze, geeze).

Hmmm. Maybe "Quinn the Eskimo" would be a good nickname for her. I'm sure most of the boys at Lawndale have, by now, decided she's an "ice maiden".

Sort of. Actually, I mentioned quite a few months ago that she doesn't seem to be a "tease", which is probably why she hasn't actually pissed off all the guys.

She flirts and sweet-talks very well, but very superficially. But except for a few very passing references in season 1, we have no evidence that she even engages in light "making out".

So she's "all talk", but she's not really promising anything she doesn't deliver - as far as I can see.

Well, at least I'm half-right. Maybe I should've amended that and said that Quinn just doesn't let guys get too close to her -- perhaps for a reason similar to the reason why Daria's never really dated a guy until Tom came along -- neither one wants to get hurt.

Nah, that's just a tease or a flirt (throw in your own connotations to those cause they're different for everyone.) Quinn's a user who only cares what someone can do for her .

However, last I saw the boys at Lawndale were still quite stupid and either hadn't figured that out yet, or are labouring under the delusion that one of them will be the one to 'melt' her.

Good one! The only drawback is that Daria and Jane are probably the only students at Lawndale who have a hope of knowing who Quinn the Eskimo was.

Actually, this sounds *very* vaguely like a fanfic I started on a while ago - the details were quite different, though. But I had Quinn as a boy and did some unusual things with some other characters.

I think I'll look at it again.
