This thought came to mind as I read the Micheal Moore thread. An encounter with someone the complete opposite of Moore! Guess what I've been smoking; the pollutants of the air.
What would Daria think about the Dear Leader Kim Jong Il?

Any human being would have loathing for Kim (Ill brotha) Jong Il. Daria would definitely think he's pure evil. Perhaps the only denizen of Lawndale who might think otherwise would be Ms. Li...she might admire his ability to control those around him. Although she would even feel revulsion at most of his tactics, though.
Kim Jong Il is the worst of the worst...it is as if he read 1984 as a child and decided "this would be a great way to run a country." I look forward eventually to him being put out of our...and his subjects' misery. If it was him we were going after I would probably have been gung-ho for the war. But apparently North Korea is not on Bush's radar...Duhbya has his Bible as his guide for foreign policy, unfortunately. There are biblical reasons why Saddam Hussain is a target, and there are no precedents in Revelation for going after Kim. There is no mention of the Koreas in the Bible.

not only that, but the "Mad Pygmy" as Dubya has referred to him as, posseses a ferocious amount of weapons. Nukes, gasses, all that fun stuff that Bush found a good reason to order a mass slaughter of Iraqis. Have you even seen the Republican Guard of Iraq? It's a bunch of old men in fatigues! And the only usable weapons they have are Ak-47s. No match for the number 1 military in the world. Kim Jong Il's arsenal is not as vicious and well-equipped, but they're no slouch; which is why Dubya's been so ginger with Kim.
Like him or not the Kim isn't the only one around whose pretty nasty; there's that dickhead in Belarus, another one in Burma, and the Fahds in Saudi Arabia, numerous dictators in Africa, you can go down the list of people who meet this new criteria. But N. Korea's just short of declaring war on us; did you hear about that warhead that landed in frggin' ALASKA? I heard about it ONCE a few weeks ago, but it was bogged down by American Idol or something.
Ms. Li not really approving? and here I was thinking of her being his long lost niece. I have this ridiculous scenario in mind where he visits Lawndale as a "motivational speaker" or something ridiculous and no matter how much of a vile tyrant he is, the population flocks to see him. And the few people who are aware of that are singled out; another angle would be if Kim becomes a friend of George Bush administration, which probably isn't far off considering how similar those guys, and the ones who oppose his presence are harassed and insulted by silverfish, called "racist", "patriotic" and what-not.

A Google search reveals a suspicious identicality of nearly all the quotes about this story - in other words it mushroomed from one report in which a journalist says that a politician said that a secret US report said... (you get the drift). One hit which differs is the Anchorage Daily News website: http://www.adn.com/front/story/2719687p-2767626c.html which reports bafflement by Alaskan government and missile defence officials about the claim. Seems that what really happened is that five years ago, the expended third stage of a rocket which was launching a Korean satellite splashed down a few hundred miles from Alaska. Not that this wouldn't justify nuking Korea in the present political climate of course. I'm only surprised that Bush and Blair haven't declared war on China yet, given that SARS clearly presents a bigger threat to the world than Saddam ever did. How dare they let their dirty foreign viruses infect our clean white Christian citizens!
