Did you follow the link to the list of the Daria voices? They claim that Paul Williams (the famous one--actor/songwriter/singer, white guy in his 50's) is the voice of Mack? No way this is the same guy! This site needs work.

The actor who does Mack's voice is indeed named Paul Williams, though whether it's the same as the actor/singer/songwriter is up for debate. After all, it's not like "Paul Williams" is an uncommon name. :-)

They're definitely NOT the same guy. The "non-Mack" Paul Williams does the voice of the Penguin in the Batman animated series...you can clearly tell the difference.

I've heard many people claim how wonderful Wendy Hoopes and Tracy Grandstaff are at manipulating their voices into so many different characters, but are we forgetting Marc Thompson? To be able to do Kevin, DeMartino, O'Neill, Upchuck, & Jamie is quite an accomplishment, in my eyes.

Oh, I completely agree. I realize that our wonderful women voice-actresses are extremely talented, I was just drawing a little attention to Marc, as well.

Sheer coincidence, my man. The not-quite-so-talented-as-Ms.-Grandstaff Sandra Bernhart does the voice of Cassandra. Disney's *Hercules* is a fun watch just so you can spot the celebrity guest voice of the day - that show is LOADED with big name stars. Lisa Kudrow as Aphrodite? Michael Dorn as the Minotaur? Genius, sheer friggin' genius.

That is true...but from watching both shows I don't believe the Paul Williams who voices the Penguin can remotely come close to the voice of Michael Jordan Mackenzie. Besides, if the working theory is that Nora Dunn is Ms. Li but uses a phony name (Nora Laudani) because "Daria" is a non-union show and she'd be in trouble with her union, how would the "famous" Paul Williams get away with using his own name?

Check out the Internet Movie Database ( http://us.imdb.com ) and look up Daria and Paul Williams. They have about a half-dozen actors named "Paul Williams" listed and the one we're interested in isn't the short guy who acts, writes songs and sings. Two different people.

I believe, as many of you have realized, that the Paul Williams in Daria and in Batman: TAS are two different people. However, we HAVE been known to be wrong.< G> I don't really know much about the show... so if you find any errors, please let me know. Thanks for visiting the site!
