AHHHH !!!!!!!!!

OMG !!! I was reading a comment made at Naomi's website about the episode "That Was Then, This Is Dumb". I thought to myself , no this can't be right because I remembered that episode and I remembered Trent was sleeping while DARIA and Jane were having their discussion about Trent. Well, to my surprise when I watched again closely it turns out not only was Trent smiling while they were talking about him but the show that Trent had his eyes open and was smiling. He obviously heard at least some of what was said. AHHH !!! I tremble with happiness. What will come of this? Will this be expanded on in the future ? Am I pretty slow for only noticing this just now? Does this prove that Trent isn't really oblivious? Should I stop with the questions? Do I need to get a life? .... I sure can answer at least two of those. AHHHH !!! I'M SO HAPPY !!!!!!!!!!

I don't want to burst your bubble, but I think that everything that came directly from that 'eavsdrop' was seen in that episode (the whole 'voluntary simplicity' conversation). If anything else were to come directly from Trent hearing that comment, we probably would have seen it already. My take on this scene is that this was a way to let us know that Trent has some idea about the 'crush,' since up to that point there wasn't much evidence that he had any clue (unless you want to count Trent's emphasis on 'dromedary' in Road Worrier).
