Funniest line, (of those I heard - grrh!): Daria, "I think I had a hand in her epiphany." Jane, "I hope you washed it afterwards."
Has Jake finally left behind his complex about his father? His glee at being told he was still alive, while his dad was dead at his age, certainly seemed to have wrought a change. But will it last?
Was this the first appearence of Jake's mother? I seem to think so.
I thought the two plots (Jake & the DJs) were well handled, and of course came together in Daria's on-air speech that drove away the DJs. Some symmetry here, of course, since Daria's speeches also got Grandma Morgendorffer out the kitchen, returned Quinn & Helen to normal, and put new life into Jake.
Overall: Since the ep was marred for me by intermittent reception, I'll reserve judgement until I see the ep without dropouts, if I do, whenever that may be. <sigh>
