I through sheer luck managed to catch MTV's Daria marathon ... even though it was unadvertised, and started a half-hour later than it said in the TV Guide, and ended *much* later.
I finally saw the episode with Aunt Amy, which I have repeatedly missed in reruns. I was glad she played such a big role in the story, on the basis of what people said i was afraid she just had a handful of one-liners.
I was supremely creeped out though by one scene: here I was identifying with Daria, and then I find out that her older mentor/role model Aunt Amy is my age (or a wee bit younger).
