Any good fic out there?

As the "Daria" season begins to wind down, I'm realizing I'm going to need to find alternate forms of entertainment. . . So how about some fan fic? I believe I have read all of C.E. Forman's stories, and most of Invisigoth Gypsy's. Any recommendations? Thanks, Elizabeth

Hrm...well, if you haven't already given 'em a shot, go and read Paperpusher's and John Berry's - rather funny stuff even if not *completely* in character :) For a more realistic look on the whole Trent/Daria thing Michelle has an entire arc of good quality fanfic set several years in the future. PP's is hosted on his site, Michelle has hers on her site as well as Outpost Daria (which is a great place to look for fanfic - except for the fact that the shear quantity and breadth of quality - from incredibly bad to incredibly good - can make it rather overwhelming). Kara Wild's stuff is pretty good...or at least the one fic I read I remember being good. Can't remember the name though (hey, it was during the last Long Drought, gimme a break :). Anyway, all good places to start.

Instead of fan fiction, how about reading some fan truthtion? I just finished reading "The Secret World of Jelena Dokic" on the Australian Tennis magazine website, which is the amazing true story of a teenage tennis sensation who, after she became famous, no-one can discover anything about her any more, as her agent has apparently sold her life story to some publication for a huge amount of zlotties. As a result when the media ring up asking things like "when's Jelena's birthday?" or "where was she born", or "how tall is she?" he says "sorry that is proprietary information, I can't answer that question"!

You know, she does look rather like Alex Mack, and I just happen to have a SWAM webpage on file that I never uploaded.... I think I feel another crossover story coming on... actually it's just occurred to me that Daria is like SWAM - Daria is the cool intelligent elder sister Annie, and Quinn is the younger dippy sister Alex, with her magical powers that enable her to get away with things.

I also discovered today that my website is mentioned in the September issue of Australian Tennis magazine! Fame at last! I wonder what Australian tennis fans will make of my Daria pages.
