Okay, I just finished watching my tape of 'I Don't' (I had a doctor's appointment the day it aired), and I really liked the character of Amy. My question is, does she ever appear again in the show. I've only seen nine episodes so far of the show, and so I can't be sure.
Also, does anyone know Helen, Rita, and Amy's maiden name? I'd like to know for my fan fic story.

"I Don't" is her first and only appearance, but hopefully she'll be back soon. I'd like to see her become a mentor figure for Daria.

Shadow, that's pretty limited. What if aunt Amy is really a corporate stooge feeding Daria a line like the AP? What if Aunt Amy is really a shady, unethical persona that just makes out to be the "misunderstood family black sheep" to get more familial power and control? You are far too excepting and believing. Her last name could, in reality, be Gates, and she could behind the entire downfall of the computer age................you never know, but like to jump to conclusions, right?

Nice job, Shadow, but I would like to try to go one better. Since I tend to be known for conclusion-jumping myself, I would like to give it a shot.
I think that Lassen is wretched soul who too easily turns to ad hominem attacks when he can't support his point any other way.
However the reason for this might be a genuine appreciation for a show that relates to unpopular types. Perhaps he projects his experiences into it, and when others without his background see something different, he becomes angry because we just 'don't get it'.
Sometimes, we have strongly held views, and feel compelled to defend them. I have done the same, and will continue to. However, what must be realized is that personal attacks don't do any good, they just make things worse. I can say this because I've tried it, and I KNOW it's a waste of time, even though it can be a lot of fun.
Of course, I may be wrong about Lassen; maybe he IS the MTV staffer who wrote 'Fair Enough' and 'The Daria Hunter'...

Barksdale. You need to get a copy of "The Daria Diaries" as there is a lot of information of this sort therein, including a map of Lawndale. It's damn funny, too, especially Upchuck's answering machine messages. Try Amazon if your local bookstore doesn't have it.
She's never apperared again but I love that episode and Daria and Aunt Amy are a great team
