Do you have any idea how much the genepool would improve if someone snuck a small yield nuclear weapon into MTV Spring Break?

Hey if you're gonna nukem why not do it correctly.....humm where can I get a Tsar Bombada(sp)?
Wouldn't supprise me :)
Phill.
Not Really, It is basically a weeklong sex and drug binge, MTV just facilitates it.
I was in Cancun Mexico last year during spring break (coincidence) I just about went on a killing spree, between the guys urinating off the roof of the hotel into the pool below, to the people passed out on the beach and people going at it damn near everywhere, from public washrooms to OUT IN THE OPEN and the Gestapo Mexican police who mistook my attitude for intoxication were especially nice.
Oh, I am not looking forward to University, I am still traumatized from Pre-Frosh, Maybe I should goto Bob Jones University, I am not a Jesus Freak or White Supremacist but I can't imagine there are many wild parties there

You should try the interior of Mexico, like the federal capital (commonly known as Mexico City) or Monterrey, for next Spring Break. Or someplace in Europe. I spent Spring Break 1999 in England and I had the *BEST* time there (it was that week London had nothing but sunshine...I think sunshine follows me around...visited Seattle three times and it's never rained beyond a minor evening shower *groan*).
And smaller private colleges oftentimes don't have a really "party hearty" atmosphere. At my university the frats/sororities don't factor in as much as on most campuses and the biggest one is a combo frat/sorority dedicated to community service.
If you play your cards right university can be pretty nice. :)

Admittidly college is for learning, not fun, but a one-sex school sounds rather offputting. What's it like?

Same here. I'm not sure exactly why though. I seem to just prefer male companions as opposed to female ones. Perhaps most of the females I know subscribe to the regular female stereotype - ie. the Fashion Club mentality. Regular discussion topics range from fashion to boys. Which is all well and good, but not when it's your *only* choice of discussion.
I seem to remember when I was in secondary school, and all the girls were into teen idols and stuff like that, which I thought was rather boring. Then I headed on over to the guys, and they were playing AD&D or Risk, and were discussing various aspects of science and rock music. Needless to say, I found that much more interesting. Which is why I embraced fantasy genre, and got really into Guns and Roses and Nirvana. I also tend to not care about how I look all that much.. I just go around in t-shirt and jeans, whereas some girls will put on make up and such just to go to college.
I am certainly overgeneralizing on women here.. but that's just because I haven't really met any exceptions to the rule. I've met only a few during the previous years, and they were few and far between. If atd is any indication, there are probably many like-minded females out there.. I just haven't met them yet :)
Let's just say I'm still waiting for the Jane to my Daria :)

I got along with girls better than guys when I was a teenager, but I was lousy at approaching them romantically. I learned to get along with guys in my teens; interestingly enough the lure that got me out of that shell was role-playing games. It was through my RPG buddies that I got into rock.
Nirvana.
I like G&R, and recently decided I liked Nirvana. Which is a bit late, of course, seeing who's dead. Then again, I also recently decided I liked the Doors :)
I actually find the natural look much more attractive in girls than makeup. Especially heavy and poorly applied makeup, which I find downright repulsive.
Eh, you need to hang out with female RPG'ers and fans more, I think. Though some of them have their own bad personality quirks.

It may be all fine and dandy for some of you females to have had wonderful relations with a lot of guys in school, but with me I am still wary about interacting with guys simply because of all the past experiences I had with them. They either ridiculed me, ostracized me, physically/emotionally hurt me, or just plain ignored me from the time I was four to the time I graduated from high school. That's fourteen years, right there. When I got to my all-girls' high school, it was a lot more welcoming than the co-ed grade school I'd come from. Granted, there were the typical "gossipy/makeup/fashion-worshipping/vacant-staring/idiotic" females there, but they almost never came into contact with anyone who was known to be a "brain". And there were a lot of the "brains" there. I mean a LOT. So much so that one could get popular just for being known as an intellectual. I found myself joining up with several clubs and organizations. I felt *comfortable* in that environment. Few people really fretted over makeup because who would they need to put on makeup for? The majority (who did put makeup on) just put it on because, and didn't focus on its maintenance. We mostly focused on studies and making the most of high school. Cut to college and a re-entry into co-ed education. The guys are a bit more mature (and some have actually talked to me) but the females...well, aside from a small minority who don't focus on appearance the majority of them seem to spend quite a bit of time on appearance, are vain, and besides, I still feel uncomfortable talking with the guys because it's a reflexive reaction. Maybe it's something I have to work out, but *I* certainly cannot picture myself "just being one of the guys". I am highly envious of those of you females who've been able to do so, especially in the high school years where it might've helped. And even now it seems like some of the attention I do get from males is "too little, too late". Especially if a guy asks me out...but I guess this means I won't feel sorry for breaking their hearts....

So, anyways, make a long story short, it's all nice and dandy that you have had such nice experiences with guys. I on the other hand am not convinced. And I'm ten times harder on any guy than I am with any female as far as examining them to see if I can trust them. No, make that twenty times. Comes from experience.

Being careful makes sense. I suspect Nicole would agree with you on that. IMHO people in general, male or female, can be rotten to other people. Guys will be rotten to girls because they either lust after them or despise them; but girls will be rotten to girls because they see them as social competition. So it cuts both ways.

Big mistake. Cancn is, of course, Mexico in name only. Really it's "Florida, southern annex", a gaudy, nasty tourist resort town that exists for no other reason than for drunken American tourists to pee out of hotel windows. (For our British readers, Cancn is the Mexican equivalent of Benidorm, but tacky American style, which beats tacky British style any day of the week. Repulsed yet?) I think the solution is to avoid Cancn (or Puerto Vallarta, or Acapulco, or any of the other vile, commercialized, touristy resort places) and find a small, intimate place to spend your vacation.
