alt.tv.daria flooded with hostile posts!

Is it just me, or have the majority of recent posts (or at least a signifigant minority) been devoted to flamewars with Q�0? This is a _very_ disturbing trend, and has made this newsgroup almost unreadable. I must've hit the ignore button twenty times today.

I think certain people (Joe, Ali, yes, I am DIRECTLY challenging you guys!) are missing the point of hating trolls. Personally, I don't care if Q�0 is a troll or not. If I see a "trollish" message, all I have to do is roll my eyes and move on to the next one. The problem trolls cause is with the MORONS that can't CONTROL THEIR POSTS (insert D'martino's voice here, complete with eye-bugging)! The GOAL of a troll is to INCITE FLAME WARS, and, measured by this standard, it appears Q�0 has succeded gloriously, whether he intended to or not.

I don't give a shit wether Q�0 sometimes behaves as a troll or not. He HAS posted legitimate, ON TOPIC things as well, and his trollish posts are easily enough ignored. It's the IRRESPONSIBLE posts of Ali, Joe, and company (to the tune of the heckler's gallery which includes deena lissa) that have mucked up this group! I find the perpetous idocy of these persons FAR more annoying than any of Q�0's one shot trolls. When he posts in his hostile manner, he is in the wrong; HOWEVER, when you respond with a flame, you bring yourself down to his level. I see this whole contest as little more than the CONSTANT bickerings of two self-righteous, pompous, arrogant bastards.

I know this won't make the posts stop. In fact, the replies to this message will probably only make things worse. But, I feel better now.

I happen to agree. Which is why I haven't posted anything shouting "Troll!"

I also agree with this, to an extent. I think that Q has provided some interesting points, BUT, he continues to verbally attack people in a malicious way. This irritates me, but I don't think that he is a troll by far. I think the people who respond to Q are not the only ones who heckle; Q does a quite a bit of it too. I understand he's been under a lot of attack lately, but I'd probably respect him more if he'd stop the trend of unecessary comments he's made in other posts.

This is the second post I've made on this subject, hopefully my last. But I felt I needed to say something. I sympathize with you greatly, Tarvok, and I hope that this stupid thing stops. But as the old saying goes...Two to tango. (That was corny, right?)

That's nice for you. I don't caare enough to say much....actually , i don't have the energy but I cared because I'm sorry if I pissed people off who I didn't mean to and because I don't have the feelings of self-worth to defend myself against such "challenges" anyway.

Qq-whatever, troll guy, will go when there's no more new episodes because he said he doesn't come on here when theres no new episodes to talk aboiut, although why he cares about that whe he doesn't seem to discuss much the new episodes is beyond me, maybe that;s because I'm too thick to "get it" as Qbox-thing0 says, maybe this is all part of his "humour.

Which is why this person needs to be challenged: because he/she (whatever) has posted on topic at times, but also chooses to insult anyone who disagrees with him/her by calling them names, insulting their intelligence, etc. instead of engaging in discussion. This is not a typical troll without a brain (such as the booooooiiiinnnnnggg person). This is someone who should know better.

Yeah but even the boooooooiiiinnnnggg person had a brain, might not be real stupid, just stupid enough to be unoriginal. They're all trols, same thing, but the Q[]0 guy sometimes acts normal until his view is opposed or someeone challenges him, then he gets bitchy. I feel sorry for trolls, they must probably feel even more pathetic than me most of the time and they probably don't have many people who like them.
