question

I was rewatching "the invitation" and I was wondering who the blond girl hanging out with the fashion club minues Quinn was. And I also realize I liked Brittany's voice a LOT more back then, because now I think it sounds too squealy, but I won't complain.

That was probably the first thing I noticed when I went back and watched all of those episodes. Brittany's voice has changed gradually but after "College Bored" or so, it sounded like a different actress did the voice(also Tiffany and Stacy's voices were completely different) . As for the blond girl, perhaps she is the *former* vice-president of the Fashion Club.

They were all done by the same people (I have discovered), Lisa Collins, Sarah Drew, and ECHO (I think this is a voice generating machine...) but they gradually changed as the season evolved.

That's probably true, it just sounded like it could have been someone different. I wonder what voices that machine does.

Ms. Barch, Tiffany (painstakingly annoying), and Ms. Defoe that I know of.... Brittany was done by Janie Mertz, not Lisa Collins (don't trust a.l.c)

You can't =). I do a little thing called credits watch. Count up all the episodes Brittany was in (Esteemsters, The Invitation, College Bored, Cafe Disaffecto, Malled, This Year's Model, Lab Brat, Pinch Sitter, The Big House, Road Worrier, The Misery Chick, Arts 'N' Crass, The Daria Hunter, Quinn the Brain, I Don't, Monster, The New Kid, Gifted, Ill, Fair Enough, See Jane Run, & Write Where It Hurts) . Now go back through each and tell me how many have Janie Mertz in the credits and how many have Lisa Collins. Lisa Collins wasn't in ONE season 2 episode.

Also... can you apply the same deductive skills towards telling us who does the voice of Upchuck? alt.lawndale.com says it's Marc Thompson, Planet Daria says it's Geoffrey Arend. I'm not inclined to trust the latter, as several episodes with Upchuck don't have Arend's name in the credits, but Thompson does so many voices that his name is in almost ALL of them.

Nope =) But I think now that maybe Season 1 Brittany was done by Lisa Collins, and Season 2 Janie Mertz. Just listen to the differences between Brittany in 101-110 and 111-213. They're different. I especially noticed this in Too Cute when she says "don't touch me". I KNOW this way that Janie Mertz does her now.

I personally think Marc Thompson does it, listen to Mr. O Neill's voice (MT) and then his.

Hi, According to the IMDB (not always 100% reliable, but still pretty good) Marc Thompson voices Kevin, Upchuck, Mr. O'Neill and Mr. DiMartino. Hope this helps..
