Classic moments...
The whole exchange between Daria and Jane in the cafeteria. That was too cool. Especially since most of the dialogue was implied rather than explicit. Whoo hoo!!!
Quinn and Daria. Ever noticed before how deeply shallow Quinn is? No? Well, this episode definitely showed how deeply shallow she is. But it can be in a good way, as she did try to help Daria out. Of course, whether that was because she really wanted to help or whether it was because she felt triumphant because Daria needed help is up to the person's own opinion.
Brittany's little spiel in the restroom. Wow...I never thought I'd say this...but our Brittany is growing up. She said just the right thing at just the right time, reassuring Daria and in a sense validating her own self as a person. I was amazed at how the entire restroom scene played out, as well. This just goes further to prove that Daria DOES have others at school concerned about her -- definitely Jane, yes, but also Jodie and Brittany and even (in a small sense) Kevin. It felt like a continuation of the same theme in "Ill".
Aunt Amy's back! Yes, it was only a short little appearance, but as was mentioned in another person's review of the episode, it went further to show that Daria definitely found Aunt Amy to be a person to take cues from. Y'know, I can definitely see Daria turning out to be a little like her.
More of Helen trying to figure out her older daughter. I thought their exchanges were kinda closely rooted in connectivity, but not nearly as much as they were in "Write Where It Hurts" (my favorite episode for interactivity between Helen and Daria).
Man...I wish that my mom was like Helen. My mom is more of a disciplinarian, concerned about correcting me and punishment and such. Actually, both my parents are disciplinarians. *sigh*
This episode made me revise my thoughts about the musical episode. The musical episode now gets four dancing, prancing, romancing ferrets. This episode is definitely five dancing, prancing, romancing ferrets material. At least till I see what the next episode is going to be like.... :)
