Clip from "Jane's Addiction" up... (spoiler???)

It's a 58 second clip from 313... this scene dosen't do much to dispel the thought that this is another "See Jane Run" sort of episode. (Oh, and the guy's name is Tom.) It basically involves Daria and Jane talking about going to a movie and grabbing some pizza - then Tom comes by for a minute, and Daria is, uh, not very nice to him. The scene ends with Jane beckoning Tom to come back, and Jane says "So are you trying to get into the obnoxious hall of fame or something?"

I suspect there will be a couple of interesting plot twists in this ep, especially if it winds up that Glenn wrote it.

And, Tom gets in a sarcastic comment, which is a good sign... :)

Tom struck me as a bit of a jerk in this clip. There's no telling how this reflects on the whole show, but his last comments and actions seemed tailor-made for trying to drive a wedge between Daria and Jane.

Some verbal sparring would be enjoyable.:)

Yeah... he could have smothered Daria with kindness or something. Instead, he was indeed a bit of a jerk (albeit an honest one, unlike Sandi :) but then again he was responding to a rather acerbic (but funny) comment from Daria.

My response would probably have been "well, that's ok. I only barf at theatrical mutilations of cartoons that I watched as a kid."

I bet it's part of the plot : Jane starts dating someone vaguely like a male Daria, and then Daria suffers from attention deficit disorder and becomes jealous.

Okay, let's turn the tables here: If Daria started dating, how would she react if she ran into her boyfriend while he was out with his best friend? And how would she feel if this best friend started hurling barbs in her direction?
