OK, so last night was the first night I was able to fully enjoy both "Depth Takes a Holiday" AND "Daria Dance Party" (WHOOO HOOO THANK YOU professors for not assigning too much!), and little musically obsessed me noticed something. I noticed that when they were emerging from that little wormhole into Holiday Island, as well as walking down the hallway at Holiday Island High, the background music came from Planet P's "Why Me?". I thought that was so cool, because I'd never in my life thought they'd insert a completely New Wave song into "Daria". I love the song, too. REALLY cool stuff. And one of the songs Upchuck played during the dance in "Daria Dance Party" was "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None the Richer. I thought that was so neat, because Sixpence None the Richer just recently got through opening up club dates for a certain Mr. John Taylor, former bassist for Duran Duran *giggle*. They're also sorta like a local band, because they come from Fredricksburg, TX, which is a very short distance away from San Antonio. In fact, I've been to Fredricksburg a number of times to pick peaches in the open peach orchards they're well known for having. (Yummy day...eat a freshly-picked peach, drive down to a really good barbecue place, eat barbecue, get home, help make a peach cobbler, eat peach cobbler for dessert that night. :))
