"Daria bleats" (Lane Miserables spoiler)

That's right, I said S P O I L E R ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! That's how the closed-captioning identified the sound made by Daria when Helen asked Trent if he'd like to stay the night. The producers or writers or Tracy Grandstaff (whoever) should have gone all the way and had her say "Eeep!" But that's not really a complaint. A fine episode. I'll watch it again and decide how it rates among the top episodes. I can't think of anything that would be a mark against the show, and <ding dong> Now who could that be?

Of course, MTV ruined it by having the idiot talking over the closing credits.

And how. Not only does the song's lyrics go well with the episode, but having an idiot talk over Neil Tennant's voice is IMHO grounds for waking up the hounds and hunting this person down!:)

The worst part is that they're not going anywhere. It goes on with all TV networks. I've always gotten disgusted with the promos during the credits of the Simpsons. All we can really do is pray that MTV replays the episode without Mr PromoGuy (Unfortunately, not doing it is like the 8th sin to these people).

I don't watch every rerun that MTV plays, but judging from the posts here it seems the end credit babbling is going to be a permanent Daria feature from now on.

What I really want to know is what Jane was listening to during her run.

Speaking of things musical, I thought "Psychic Refugee" was Trent's best effort yet. Maybe there is a future for Something Something Explosion (hey, that's not bad...)

Yup... 'eep' would have been Too Cool. So I'll pretend she just said 'eep' anyway, at least until I see/tape the rerun. (Gotta tape Crusade first. It might only be rerun once, and LM will be rerun 9,999 more times I'm sure... and put on video around 2008 or so :)

They _could_ have at least spared the first-run ep...

Cool episode, BTW. A true family story.
