I wanted to throw in my two cents into the ring because it seemed...well, it seemed like the right thing to do. Besides, I get a bit maternal at times.
Alli...please don't fret over guys. It's not going to be worth it. Just go with the flow and grow into your own skin before you begin to even consider worrying about guys. Besides, if you have to worry about someone, then what will be the use? My advice is to try to just wait things out. If it happens, it happens; if it doesn't, it doesn't. There'll be someone special out there for you who'll love you without you begging for it. Just try to view this guy as a friend of yours and nothing more. See if he comes crawling on his knees *snicker*...
As for "too late marlene" (sorry, had to slip in a Duran Duran reference) relationship startings, I myself just started to get into the relationship I've been in (my first!) a few months ago, as a 19-year-old. First relationship, at 19. And you want to know something? It's been the best thing. It's helped make me view life through different eyes, kinda like what Trent does for Daria (oh come on, you KNOW she's not thinking of gloom and doom when she's around him!). My Clive is my Trent. Um...before I start getting really mushy around you guys I should really leave it at that. I do think the reason I'm in such a good relationship, though, is that I've had time to become who I really am supposed to be, without the bothersome interference of someone of the opposite sex that I'd been involved in a relationship with.
I think people should be proud if/when they start having relationships later. It means they've gotten to know who they are and are now ready to share that being with someone else.
Just my opinion...
