I'm probably missing it in a very obvious location, but where is the schedule for the new Daria episodes? MTV.com used to post the new episode titles and the repeat times on their site, but now all they do is bounce you to the weekly schedule of all shows, with no episode numbers given.
Specifically, I'm looking at this friday (showing pre-empted for
"Jailbait"), and May 5th. I'm going out of town, and have something else taping
at that time, and I HOPE May 6th will be a repeat.
Rayyeah, mtv is gay, they wont tell you much, try www.tvguide.com or www.gist.com but i dont think they will tell you ep numbers either, so pray to the gods!

I think the reason Mtv doesn't give you much info on this show is because they don't consider it an important show.They use it to fill in the gaps.If you'll notice it is only on for a month or two and then vanishes and resurfaces again.They don't hype it nearly as much as their precious Real World,Road Rules,or any of the others.There are only 2 vhs tapes available as opposed to the multiple Beavis tapes for sale. I truly love this show but unfortunately the network doesn't want to spend the time or money promoting this show.

Checks with online stores in the UK, and checks made on the Virgin internal system by a shop assistant in answer to my enquiry, recently showed no record for "Disenfranchised," and checks using "Daria" returned only the first video.

I have sort of, on the afternoon that "Through a Lens Darkly" aired, I saw a trailer of sorts erlier in that show that Daria is part of (now known as "The Core" can't rember what it was then).
Yes that *does* annoy me slightly, MTV if you are listening, how about a PAL relice please. Especially as it contains an uncensored version of one of my fave s1 eps "Malled".

Yeah that's ok for those of us with DVD players, which I admit will be more people as time goes by, but I would imagine that straight video recorders as still a lot more common :)

I don't know anyone who watches those shows either and yet they live on.Why must we continue to see Real World VIII,IX,X... Their novelty wore of long ago.It's like The Sixth Sense,"Sometimes their dead but they don't know it".
This isn't necessarily directed to just your post, but I digress. I agree, MTV isn't giving Daria the exposure it deserves. I don't remember the statistics, but wasn't it within one of their top 10 rated shows?
They could do a *lot* better advertising for the show, however I *do* think they're doing better this year. The website changes are going to take a long time (that was disappointing when they took down the bios,) but at least we have a made-for- tv movie coming.
Secondly, everytime I'm channel surfing and I see the mtv 10 spot (and I see it airing on all sorts of channels here in good ole' California) Daria is plugged for their Friday spot. I'm also thrilled with the nifty little Daria browser they have on their site.
I'm in no way trying to defend MTV, because IMO most of their "specials" and non related musical entertainment (T & A pubescent teenage boy/girl band stuff) is a bunch of crap. On the other hand, I'm pretty positive that although right now they're not hyping Daria half as much as they did their stupid movie "Jailbait" or one of their Brit specials, <gag> they will once the second half of season 4 resumes. After all, they are spending time and money to do this and it'd be a waste not to at least plug it once in awhile (just not between TRL.)
P.S. I think TRL is just about the most evil show I've ever witnessed. Carson seems like a pretty decent guy, but ugh, just the thought of that show makes my skin crawl. I'm a musician (or I'd like to think of myself as one.) Not to boast, but I think I'm pretty cute, not any Gwen, but I'm alright. The thought of people screaming my name and liking my music and requesting it just because I was cute and completely ignoring the song itself only saying how hot I was or how I ran naked through my video would upset me just a wee bit. The show prides itself on that stuff and flaunts it. Blech.
