All these posts with an 8/2/99 date on them. I know what I'm doing up, I live 8 hours into the future. But what's with the rest of you people, just how many of the folks here are nocturnal?

Well, considering that on Monday mornings I get up at 4:15 a.m. and am able to check at least this newsgroup by 5:30 a.m. (Central Time, -6 GMT offset), and considering I don't usually get off on Sunday evenings until 11:00 p.m. CT, and considering I don't usually go to sleep until about 2 a.m. CT unless it's a work night like Sunday night or, even earlier, Wednesday night and Friday night (at which time I disconnect at 10:30 p.m. and get up at 3:15 a.m. CT)...um, no. Even more interesting is that I usually don't sleep later than 10:30 a.m. I need *no* sleep. LOL.

I dont usually hit the sack until about 6 AM Mountain time and I try to wake up before Daria at 1 PM. Even during the school year when I have get up by 6:30AM I dont go to bed until 2AM. I just like the night better than the day. Maybe its because I live in Arizona and I loathe the sun. Anyways I am a creature of the night and I dont when that will change. Not anytime soon.

When I get home, I usually grab something to eat, check the NG, then hit the bed. On Wed. nights I work so I don't usually gt to see the new episode of Daria until 1:30-2:00 in the morning.
All this adds up to an average bedtime of 2:30-3:30a.m. But since I work the 2nd shift, I can usually sleep until 11:30-noon, sometimes later, never past the 1p.m. Daria showing, though.

Ah, swing shift. A great shift if you're a single guy of legal drinking age. You hit the bar or club with the ladies already slightly toasted. If you don't act like the rest of the drunken idiot males there, you tend to get luckier than most. Not that I've done this, of course. ;)
Seems like we've got a few night owls here, less the ladies who don't need sleep. :)
I love the night. There is something about being out and about at 4am that puts a keener edge on all my senses, gives me that feral cat feeling. Guess that's why my old army sarge called the hours between 2 and 4am the Hunting Hours.

Personally, I'm nocturnal - by the time I go to bed it's around 2 or 3'ish in the morning and often as late as 4:30am. Hey, I prefer going to sleep when the sun rises...
