It wouldn't propagate far because it doesn't follow the Usenet conventions. I've seen this happen before with alt.fan groups. Binary groups need to start with "alt.binaries", so that ISPs can handle all the binary groups in one way. If you put the "binaries" somewhere else in the name a lot of people would never see the group as their ISP would simply ignore it.

Showing my net age again it seems. Having been around as long as I have I don't automatically associate binaries groups with porn and warez. But then when you can remember when alt.sex was 99% on topic and there were intelligently written stories in alt.sex.stories with *gasp* PLOT and CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT...!
