J-17 article

Hey, my J-17 arrived today! I don't know why they couldn't get it through the letter box first time round, unless maybe they've removed the ammo from the Free Combat Bag this time. Ironic that such an accoutrement should be included, didn't I hear that they banned teen magazines from handing out these khaki shoulder bags in the US as it was found pupils were using them to put their handguns and spare ammo in when kitting themselves out for a shooting spree?

Anyway, skipping past the all the pictures of slaggy men in sports gear, we come to the Daria interview... hmm, she seems to have traded her Mac in for a PC, unless maybe she's borrowed Glenn's machine for the interview, which is quite likely as she's sat at an office desk.

Re. the bit about Daria & Trent running off to Iowa to grow potatoes and treat abused pets, I think that's more likely to be Quinn's fate - she seems to be the animal lover in the family. I can just see her stealing Trent off Daria and then going on the run with him, and ending up a desperately bored housewife in some rural backwater.

That's actually the same picture that featured in The Daria Diaries - with a couple of tweaks and additions, so I guess it's the computer that Daria always had.

BTW I think I'll be doing most of my reading and posting from here because it seems my ISP is missing posts. When Po sent me the scan of the sticker he mentioned that he'd brought it up here. That was two days ago and I have yet to see the NG post on my ISP, yet I found it here right away.... go figure....

She's only the animal lover when it will get her something, like being able to say "I was helping charity long before I became a model" or something like that. Actually helping injured pets? Nah, that would be too much work, and she'd probably say "grr-oss!"...

We don't have any evidence Daria is an animal lover, but we don't have any evidence she isn't, either. I could see her thinking about becoming a psycho cat lady, though, turning her back on people :) Oh, wait, that's me.
