Mystik Spiral Spin Off?

I know it's probably crazy to ask after so much time has passed, but whatever happened to the Mystik Spiral spin-off Glenn Eichler was working on at the end of Daria's run? Was it directly tied to MTV, who's animation division no longer exist?

I asked this a while ago... I can't remember what the answer was, though... I think it was something along the lines of they didn't think that they could base a whole show on Mystik Spiral.

Maybe if it was an 11 minute show on Adult Swim or something. Not plotty, but funny none the less.

You'd have to add a number of new characters, naturally, but a show about a band on tour might be interesting. Trent wouldn't be the lead, maybe focus on the road manager or a roadie (sp?). New town every night, with some fans and groupies following the group. I can see a 13 episode season working, but it would be hard to do right.
