Interesting item on an interesting site.
I don't have your impressive command of show trivia, but I just can't buy a dining room whose only entrance is through the kitchen. Think about it: dining rooms are used for formal parties and similar occasions, particularly in a house like the Morgandorfers', where everyday meals are eaten in the kitchen. There has GOT to be an entrance to the dining room from the living room.

I could be totally misremembering, but I seem to recall that there was a kind of rumpus room / work room shown in The Lab Brat, where Daria and Kevin set up their experiment.
If this in fact was shown, it didn't get used much. Probably got all set up when the M's moved to Lawndale, then Jake never got around to taking up any of the hobbies he'd thought about and it filled up with junk by the end of the first year.
Anyway, you might want to think about putting that where you have the dining room. As for the Dining Room itself ... your living room is ENORMOUS. Just move the couch/entertainment center group down towards the front of the house, and put a formal dining table in the back. That seems to broadly fit the bill from One J at a Time.
I was under the impression that the "work room" from "The Lab Rat" was actually the garage. We know they don't put their cars in there -- remember in "Camp Fear", Helen & Jake spend the day cleaning out a garage pretty well stuffed with sports equipment bought for vacations never taken because of Helen's work obsession.
