Hey - what's with the cuts?

	I bought bootlegs of the entire Daria run a while back, which
included "Is It Fall Yet?" and "Is It College Yet?" Thing is, I never
watched the movies since I already have the commercial DVDs. Today, I
was watching episodes and went ahead and watched IICY, and discovered
that lots of dialogue had been cut on my commercial discs. Did anyone
else notice this? Anyone know why? The scenes are pretty innocuous -
Jody and Mac's conversation before Brittany and Kevin interrupt, and
Daria and Tom are playing a video game before tuning to "Sick Sad
World." Actually, the latter scene is significant - it shows Daria
getting bored with her relationship with Tom, making the later breakup
less abrupt.
