Aapo, frequent poster on this group, has completely redesigned DVDaria. http://geocities.com/dvdaria. It is now beautiful where before it was legible. It has a lot more content, and new banners that you should put on your site, please.

Let him know how nice it is, even if you think they'll never be a DVD release of Daria.

The petition is closing in on 1,000 signatures. If you haven't yet, or even if you think the whole thing is pointless, humor the rest of us and add your signature. Also, write MTV a nice letter and ask for some kind of release: DVD, VHS, syndication, Viewmaster discs, whatever.

At least they can't say we didn't try.

Probably, although you'd have a helluva time trying to collect the entire Lane family...

You'd also have a problem if you put the Upchuck doll near any other female doll...

The Brittney and Kevvy dolls come with an optional range of models such as the back seat of a bus, the back seat of a car, the locker room and many other dubious places to make out...

The DeMartino doll comes with a small pipe sticking out the back of his head. Blow through the pipe to inflate his right eye (with realistic veins)...

The FC dolls will consider the possibility of inviting in any Barbie or Sindy dolls but will only consider Action Man or GI Joe if he has transport...

All the dolls for the female characters have articulated wrists for realistic slapping action. Sandi's doll also has a special knee-to-the- groin move. Hmm...Ms. Barch with kung-fu grip?

Don't forget the Lawndale High School Roof playset, with optional Ultra- Cola decal!

I see them going more for the Mulder doll from the X-Files movie, myself. Even if he is a computer geek. ^_^

Probably. She'd also come with Mr. O'Neill, and a lot of places for making out with him.

They might also go for the Ken doll.

Which reminds me -- what would the action figures for Daria, Jane, and Tom come with?

come with?

Is this going to start the DDMD thread again? (Please!! No!!)

Would Kevin appreciate the competition? (Sorry, but Ken always struck me as an airhead arm-ornament for Barbie)

A battered out car, a bottle of hair dye and several life-like hand weapons...

The "Princess Fairy" playset, for one. And the "Paintball Jungle" playset. Paintball guns with realistic paintball-firing action! Fatigues for all characters sold separately.

Ken's a dork. (My younger sister will testify to this.) They might let him sit at the popular table, but he's kind of the Robert of dolls.

In order: a book (which changeable cover decals), a glue gun, and a box of chocolates labeled "For Quinn." For the 'Homecoming Parade' playset, they come with a paper bag full of toilet paper, a Polaroid One-Step, and a jacket, respectively. There are also multiple costumes available for the Jane doll, thanks to "Life in the Past Lane."

I think Quinn would get a soda. Well, she'd get one of the J dolls to get it for her, anyway. :)

Only that one of Quinn's sayings when you pull the string is "Oh no! They're fighting over me!" What better way to get the J's fighting than to involve someone else? ^_-

With Duck Telephone! Bed sold separately.

(You know how the Star Wars dolls all had weapon accessories? I'm thinking the Daria action figures should all have telephone accessories. Helen's cell phone, Quinn's speaker phone with flower decals...)

Considering the size of the figures/dolls, wouldn't the phone be reeeeeeeally small?

Well, the Star Wars dolls had fairly detailed weapons/accessories, even if they were so small that taking them out of the packaging was almost a sure- fire guarantee you'd lose them. For the Daria dolls, though, I was hoping for 12" deluxe figures. I mean, if the Fashion Club dolls can't change their outfits, what's the point? ^_^
