Anyone still in here ?
I'd like to buy the DVDs, but I want to be sure they're not restricted to region 1: all e-tailers say it is region 1 only, Amazon even having a warning about it, whereas some Daria sites appear to claim the DVD is region 0.

"Is It College Yet?" might be worth a try. However, be warned: the version on the DVD is not the version as it originally aired on MTV. The version that made it to DVD is the one that was shown later on. It was shortened to allow for the "MTV Patented Supersized Bloc of Commercials" that the network is famous for.

Be careful that they don't just mean that it is a US disk. Some idiots out there classify US disks as "region 1" regardless of the region coding actually set up on it.

I live in the UK and have both, IIFY and IICY on DVD. Both the copies I have are indeed R0, in fact IICY doen't seem to have Macrovision coding either,If you know what that means, if you do you might find it usefull :)
I would be prepared to buy more Daria if released on DVD AND it was R0, smae goes for Beavis & Butthead actually.

There's always the hundreds of DVD players that have secret menus too - allowing you to *fix* the region issue ;)
Didn't find that info for mine, though... lots of other models, but not this one.
