Excuse my Clueless-ness...

...But when did Pinky & the Brain start this fight with Daria (or vice-verse)? Why is there a battle in a USA poll? And more importantly, why are we wasting our time fighting with a show that can't hold a candle to the likes of Daria? P&B has no good points to it, its just a show that will never be thought of in 5 years.

Just my thoughts; if it sounded smart, it wasn't meant to be.

The USA Weekend website is holding a Cartoon battle. 16 (32?) cartoons are placed in brackets, and every week one of the contests is held. The toon that gets the most votes in each round wins. I believe we beat Rocky and Bullwinkle in the first round, and will face the Underdog next round, now that we've advanced.

USA Weekend is a pretty much worthless rag distributed in the Sunday newspaper that really isn't worth reading. I usually skip it. When the local newspaper carried "Parade" I'd read it for Marilyn vos Savant's column (often just to disagree) but now that's gone and in its place we have a newspaper/mag that mostly has articles about celebrities. How to boost interest in this tree- waster? Start an online contest between cartoon shows. A circulation booster-- nothing more.

This is a newsgroup about Daria. Smart is permitted--even required. Just don't be a smart-ass. (Though there's plenty of that here too.)
