Just Like The Good Old Days

I just finished watching IICY. I was absolutely amazed! No pop-up ads, and no network logo in the corner of the picture. I felt a wave of nostalgia. I was reminded of a time when you'd turn on a TV, and watch a show instead of all the garbage the stations try to cram on your screen nowadays. It's hard to believe it was MTV, one of the worst offenders for screen clutter, who showed this pristine broadcast....

Oh to be young again!

Dunno about that, but when I look at Cartoon Network here -

DOG in left top corner DOG in right bottom corner when themed segment shown (e.g. Toonami) DOG in left top corner extends to show next/upcoming shows at random Credits compressed with inserts to show next/upcoming shows including voiceover.

Sometimes I wonder if they might just cover the screen in digital overlays and not bother with shows at all!

To any TV exec that might be watching - I HATE DIGITAL OVERLAYS!
