The other day at work, when I should've been thinking about work, it occured to me that Quinn looks a bit like Baby Pebbles on the Flintstones. Same hair color, same large dark eyes. Did anybody else notice this?

That, and how Quinn is always saying, "Da da. Da da. Goo goo...." :-)
I don't see it. Pebbles is a definite redhead like her mother; Quinn is more of a strawberry blonde. And Pebbles eyes shine brite with intelligence; Quinn achieves this effect through eye-makeup.

i do wonder, how does intelligence makes one's eyes shine? :p

"Lively, curious expression", in other words.
ok, how does make-up give one's eyes lively, curious expression? :P
Alli said:
Properly applied makeup could create the illusion of such by drawing attention to the one's eyes to such a degree as to make one seem more "lively and curious" than one actually was.
that's like saying daria looks like.. al gore. they both have brown hair, and, they both have... eyes. ok, not a great choice, but you get my point?

And Bush Jr. looks rather like Quinn come to think of it. Similar IQ too.

Hold it a minute. You're saying the guy who called Michael Jackson the greatest basketball player in the world is the smarter of the two??? Algore is so dumb, he doesn't know he's lost an election three times.
Joe
Yeah, I listen to Rush Limbaugh and I support Ipswich Town FC (English soccer). But if I love Daria, I can't be all bad, can I? ;)
i don't see what's so dumb about knowing nothing about basketball. Al gore is dumb, but bush is dumber.

He shows evidence of having had thoughts, which surely puts him ahead of Bush whose thinking is evidently done for him by others. The last thing the world needs is another Ronald Reagan.
Anyway, maybe "basketball player" was intended as an obscure euphemism?
Hey, you could make a movie along those lines...
It is tragic though that a presidential election should have candidates of such calibre. Gore has done some good stuff in the past, such as promoting the Internet in Congress before anyone knew what it was, but I'm not aware of him having done anything much (or indeed at all) during his time as VP. Bush would probably make a good godfather figure with his record of having people bumped off, but his grasp of world politics seems to be on par with Quayle's ability to spell "potato".

'Loser' is a curious way to describe the person who got the greater share of the popular vote.
The fact it may be an accurate description suggests your electoral system could use some changes.

Are we really going to have to endure recycled Quayle jokes for the next 4-8 years? God, they were old in 1989.
