It's been there for two episodes, and it's starting to puzzle even me:

What IS that red stuff in the Lane's fridge?

It can't be cranberry juice, I can't picture any of the lanes drinking that evil liquid. I can see trent being a big cherry soda fan, in a taking over his brain kinda way.

Besides, cherry cola isnt red, it's brownish.

Is it possible that some of Jane's paint got into the freezer by mistake???

Cricket (BTW, I'm new to this newsgroup -- this is my 3rd posting. Can I get a little fish-love from Kyle, or is that just for 1st-timers only?)

You want "fish love". So far the coclusion has displayed that he doesn't do requests (I asked and got two unentusiastic, reluctant: day-old fish. They weren't even capitalized!). Maybe he'll give you some "fish love" since your new though. "Fish love" ! That cracks me up!

Dunno if it's the same anywhere else but here cherry soda is something you buy from the milk man. It has 2 qualities a brilliant red colour, and being 90% made from sugar. Oh, and not being cherry flavoured at all.

Bettster

Dagny ScottNoiZy

OK, I'll start again...

Amongst its qualities are it's red color, being 90% made from sugar, and not tasting like cherry at all.

Nobody expects the cherry soda inquisition!

true, if you're talking like cherry coke, but around here we have this like cherry type soda (actually we'd say "pop", but anyway.) (it's sorta like a cherry phosphate if y'all have ever had one of those) (no, I'm not from the south, just since I've took German I'm mad English only has one word for you) (yes, I like parentheses) Or else it's redpop, which is more strawberryish.

ROTFLOL! Reminds me of the long, long "soda vs. pop" debate on the KITH newsgroup a couple of years ago. I think the gist of it was that we west-coasters found the use of the word "pop" very quaint, like something out of a 1930's film.

Well...let me see...I'm a Southerner, more a Democrat-leaning Independent, and not a snob at all, and I use the word "soda" quite judiciously, so.... Let your father know that people like me also use that word, 'kay? *g*

"Soda?" "Pop?" In the part of the South I live in, all we have are "Co-colas." As in, "Gimme a whopper with extra maters, and a large Co-Cola." Come to think of it, it's either "Co-Cola" or "Sun Drop." (Nobody drinks RC here-- eww.)

There used to be a great store on Franklin St. that would make soft drinks the old-fashioned way-- you could get lemon or strawberry co-cola-- but, sadly, it's now a smoothie store. Blecch.

Damn you smoothie people! Damn you all! (Shakes fist in the air.) Well, at least we can still get a cherry smash at Sutton's. Ahhh...

For the record, I've tried mixing co-cola with stoli vanil, but it's just not the same. *sniff*

Actually, "pop" is still a commonly used word among certain classes in the midwest. My cousins from that area (who have since moved to California) call it "pop." I had no idea it was a Britishism. It's what my dad calls it, and just about everyon on that side of the family.

Yes, pop is short for lemonade and similar fizzy drinks, although I don't think it's used as much as it used to be, to my mind it's a slightly dated word that has a 1960's feel to it. I think people tend to be more specific when referring to drinks now, probably as a result of all the marketing campaigns which have raised brand awareness to the point that people will talk of cokes and pepsi's etc rather than use some generic drink word. In the UK soda basically means soda water, as used to dilute some alcoholic drinks (fizzy water with bicarbonate of soda added).

Hmm.. i dont know if it's a liquid, because its in the freezer, it would be frozen. I think whatever it was, it's a stain of something.

Did anyone else hear, when Mr. Wussy-Criminale-Whose-Name-I've-Forgotten was talking about how if you messed with the Spiral, you'd get hurt (or something), the SFX of Jesse breaking the cake sounded like a gun being whatever it is you do to guns in preparation for firing? (Sorry, I'm not an NRA member. I don't know jack about firearms except "Aim. Pull trigger. Run like hell.") I was pretty surprised at that; thought maybe one of the Spiral members that isn't Jesse or Trent had gotten a weeeee bit too excited about someone's city gal sense of humor.
