Hello, XPeeple! Wrong word, probably. I meant "welcome!", I think. I'll start again.... Welcome, XPeeple! And hello. I hope we're not as snobbish as those football players, or whatever, too, or something. Yes, anyway, we'd expect you to be an avid (I typed "acid" the first time around, that can't be good, LOL) Daria fan if you're on this newsgroup, unless you're a troll. You don't appear to be a troll. You seem to be a newbie. If you're going to turn into a troll you can go back and sit under your bridge now! I'm sorry. It's 3.30am and I should probably go try get some sleep now or just lie in bed staring at the ceiling maybe, at least I wouldn't be annoying people and making a prat of myself on usenet then. <g>
I've probably scared the li'l newbie off now...

The ceiling can do some pretty interesting things if you stare at it long enough, if it's one of those textured ceilings.
I thought I was going crazy the first time I saw that happening. It's good to know I'm not the only one who notices these things (or its it?).

Well, it depends on your POV, I guess. I'd be pretty relieved if I were you, but I'm not, and....nevermind. LOL.
Can you say 'bad acid flashback'? There! I knew you could. ;)

I fairly confident the line was: "That's a different test dear. In this test, they're people, and you tell me what they're discussing."

Ohh. I see. Allright then. It's a guy and a girl.. and they're discussing.. a herd of beautiful wild ponies running free across the plains.

To my ear, that sounds spot on! Thanks.
Now we have the right quote: Alli, what are the people in you ceiling talking about?
A herd of bueatiful white ponies....?

Yeah, but have you ever seen the pictures MOVE?

What, are they not supposed to....? <g>
Not without staying up at least 20 hours. Drinking helps, too. After a while EVERYTHING starts to crawl. It's really creepy to start hallucinating like that, which is why I haven't done this sort of thing in years.

Drinking generally does help make the ceiling move, I find. Lying on the floor, staring at the ceiling, and everything's going round and round and round.....

Strangely I discovered if you listen to heavy rock on your walkman it lessens the effect of alcohol induced ceiling movement.
The other tip is not to put a big car poster on your roof when you got a bed like mine thats very close to the ceiling, the effect is very much like this car is coming to run you over again and again.

On the mountaintop, [email] (Tarvok) spake thusly:
I can say for certain that my textured ceiling is much more interesting than the one at Mommie Dearest's, mostly because when I look at my mother's I get this sinking feeling that it's going to collapse at any moment. Textured ceilings, on the other hand, give me a wonderful opportunity to play around with the odd pixelized overlay my vision has to it. Bah, that made no sense... you know when you look at a monitor when it's just turned on, and you can see the individual pixels and the tiny lines between them? From looking at computer screen smost of my life, my vision is permanently like that. Makes ceiling-watching VERY interesting.

Thanks! I'm sure you won't regret welcoming me into your home.. Or is that "will"? Oh, nevermind..

I'm sure most of atd is regretting welcoming me into their home. Especially now; I just posted a message involving Nicky Wire's skipping and eyeliner. And most people on here probably have no idea who Nicky Wire is. Alt.tv.daria poll: who here knows who Nicky Wire is?
I need sleep.....
I don't think there's any cracks on my bedroom's ceiling. This can only be a good thing. But it's pretty sad that I know it. :)
