BTW, Trent said he'd take her to get a tattoo "when you're ready." I think he understood that Daria wasn't really ready for the navel- piercing and had acted impulsively.

I agree though that Daria doesn't seem the type. And I don't think the quality of the animation on the show is sufficient to really do justice to a quality tattoo anyway.
