Season 3 so far (IMHO)

I never thought I would say this, but so far season 3 has been a bit of a disappointment.

Daria The Musical ... sucked. The best thing in it were the Dammit Song by Jake and the "we've got to me men" duet of Jake & Trent. The rest of the show was really bad. Were they trying to do a tie-in with the ABC mini-series Storm of the Century or what?

The one about the contact lenses ... Very disappointing. It was nice to think that Daria could be vain enough to want to go without glasses (I'm a dual contact lense wearer/glasses wearer myself). However, when everyone would ask Daria why she was wearing her lenses and her reply was "I need them for driving", I like everyone else wondered why she didn't just have them on for DRIVING!!! And I also wouldn't think she would rather go blindly stumbling around instead of putting on her glasses when her contacts were bothering her. Or at least call the optometrist to see if she could get different lenses if these were bothering her.

Nursing Home episode ... sucked. Mind you I missed the first ten minutes but the remaining fifteen didn't do it for me. Daria was too vapid. Did she really want lessons from Brittany on how to sound like an empty-headed idiot? Couldn't she have gone to Quinn for that?

Depth Takes a Holiday... really stupid (but didn't suck as much as Nursing Home or the Musical). I really don't have much to say about this one. I did laugh a few times, but overall, it could have been better. I did like the fact that Quinn was losing her mind trying to prevent another sibling from resulting in the besotted Jake & Helen.

This is the saddest thing I could say about the season so far. It's really forcing me to debate whether I want to watch the new episodes or just watch South Park repeats. The reason I missed 10 minutes of Nursing home episode was because I WAS WATCHING SOUTH PARK!

I'd say it's two for two thus far. I love the musical and Through a Lense Darkly. Didn't care for the Nursing home episode or the holiday episode.

Chill out a bit. There have only been four episodes thus far.
