The alleged "popularity" of Fashion Club has been explosed as a delusion of its own members. NO girls bought their stinkin' newsletter. The only guys who bought it were the Jay's, and they did it to impress Quinn. (This is a joke in itself. Obviously ***girls*** not guys were the target audience.)
I've suspected ever since season 3 (when I started watching) that the FC isn't really popular. The first evidence I saw was that no other girls ever tried to join. I have also long contended that girls like this would be written off as conceited by the other girls at the school. I've also known enough teenage girls to recognize that girls who are always criticizing other girls' clothes are intensely disliked. So this came as no surprise to me.
I've often wondered who Sandi, Stacey, and Tiffany date. I suspect it's guys from other schools, who don't see them every day. And they don't date anyone for very long, either.
(It isn't true they don't date at all. I know they date sometimes, because Sandi mentions having a date in IIFY.)
Someone suggested a spin-off show starring Quinn. It wouldn't be interesting for long if she didn't undergo some personal growth. But there are many possibilities for that. In fact, I wouldn't mind watching a spin-off show centered on four college girls at Pepperhill University named---you guessed it---Quinn, Sandy, Stacey, and Tiffany. But they'll have to grow up a bit. FLM showed that even Sandi is capable of change.
