I am seriously toying with the idea of setting up a Daria web site (my first!), but I have a slight problem: There's very little under the sun these days that's "original". Most Daria sites out there (with a small handful of exceptions) have the requisite episode lists, character bios, and links to other sites, and mine would undoubtedly have that, but I'd like it to be just a little different. I don't want to start grabbing the ideas of others and pasting them into mine; aside from it being incredibly rude, it's also incredibly unoriginal. :-)
That's why I've decided to let YOU, the fans, have a say in what goes into this proposed web site. A "by the fans, for the fans" type of thing. What would *YOU* like to see? I'll start off the list with the basics:
* Episode list with synopses of each episode * Character bios * Song list for each episode * Links to other Daria web sites
I'm also open to putting up a fan fiction area, but I would have one caveat: No "Daria and Trent finally hook up" stories. I mean no disrespect to the people who are a fan of this concept, but IMHO it's been done to death, and no matter what is written or how well it is written, the concept remains the same. I'd prefer to see stories that cover a little more original ground (do you sense a theme here?). Of course, I *might* be persuaded to change my mind, *if* I receive arguments that are convincing enough... you never know...
So... please, tell me what you'd like to see. Your guidance would be very helpful. Or, if you're thinking, "not another Daria web site; we've got dozens of them already!", then please tell me that, too, so I have a clear idea of whether or not to proceed.
