Hi folx

does anyone have any idea where I can download full eps of Daria in Realplayer format?

Does anyone out there do that???

Any responses muchly appreciated

Each episode is in three parts, and their filenames take the form <episode><bitrate>k<part>.rm eg. the files for episode 104 (ie. season 1, ep.4) at 56k speed are 10456k1.rm 10456k2.rm 10456k3.rm

or at 112k speed: 104112k1.rm etc.

I think the 112k is much better although it will take you about 1.5 hours to download a whole episode at 28.8k, so you might want to get the smaller 56k versions instead.

The full URL that you need to enter for each file is of the form http://www.citadel97.tzo.com/daria/real/10456k1.rm etc.

Trying to DL the .RAM files will, of course, just make a link to the streaming video in Xgetfile (and start the RAPlayer in Netscape). Is it possible that the actual .rm files are stored elsewhere?

You missed out the "real" subdirectory, the sample URL I gave was <URL: http://www.citadel97.tzo.com/daria/real/10456k1.rm> (I've tried to make it clickable this time, or you could use cut & paste to put it in your browser.

This site, which is the Daria Warehouse website, only seems to have the ".ram" files which link to triplets of ".rm" files at the other site. The files at the warehouse are easiest accessed from the webpage, <URL: http://www.rpi.edu/~scheij/frames.html> but anyway, the files there are all of the form http://www.rpi.edu/~scheij/104112k.ram but I find that trying to load one of these invokes the realvideo player unless you use Xfileget.

I should note that I am not connected with the Daria Warehouse, I've just spent a lot of time downloading Daria episodes from it to view offline!

Incidentally, I've noticed that my Channel 5 reception is so badly ghosted that the Daria episodes I taped off C5 are on balance no better quality than the realvideo versions at the Daria Warehouse, and much less convenient to watch, as you don't have to wait for a realvideo to rewind!

I just tried it and got 404 errors...looks like that site's is having problems again :(

I've got all the 112k stream episodes saved locally; perhaps I could email one or two to you...(don't wanna piss off the webmaster ;)
